FS- Emco Compact 5 mini CNC Lathe- $1200

It’s a really cool little CNC- comes with a monitor, some bits, etc. I never learned CNC programming, so I only used the hand controls to make a few small things.

It’s very precise, and would be ideal for production work, making small precision bits and pieces.

I would consider trading for a manual lathe or mill, of equal or lesser value.

I don’t have any actual pics today, will have some later.
here’s a video of one in action

Mine is very similar, only it doesn’t have the red tool changer.

if i had the cash for this, i would buy it for my basement and teach myself to use it. how hard are these to figure out? my 2 best friends work in machine shops and i hear about how much money can be made with these types of equipment.

in for pictures…

can you upload .stl files or similar to this? or do you have to program g code by hand?

where is this? loc?

Honestly, I don’t know. I do know it will take a PC hook up, and a more modern CAD program can be used to operate it, if that helps.

I’m in Buffalo, near downtown.

how big is this? … like will it fit in a pick up?

Yeah. It weighs about 130 lbs. 2 people can move it easily.

hmmm i may have to tell my father about this…he is buying all kinds of stupid shit so he isn’t bored once he is laid off.

was it me and you that had to rewrite the cnc lathe machines manuals at school?

Single phase?

yep. 110 single phase.

free bump for joo.

nah. im not sure i ever used the cnc lathe at SH. I only used the mill and manual lathes. Blake and Lesser were in my class, back when Blake was a badass.
