After my upgrade I though about keeping my D40 body around, but Meh IDK it seems pointless to sit on it. Purchased in july of 08, Everything works fantastic and the body is in great condition, Protective film on the LCD since day one (one in the pics is pretty old and looks haggard, Im putting a new one on today) no scratches anywhere. I’ve never had a problem once with this camera and many board members can attest to its performance, its a great camera for the money. Im looking for 300 for the body, original box, and a spare battery (there like 45 bucks) Im pretty firm on the price right now.

Dont Worry the I still have the hot-shoe cover and It will be included:
I wouldn’t waste your money on the X, its isn’t worth it, and your not doing yourself any favors by chasing MP’s with a DSLR. this is a fantastic cam for the money, and weather you buy it or not, I really suggest not shelling for the X, trust me. If you’d like I can PM you original res. of some of my shots so you can see the clarity at 3008x2000, its damn good and is surprisingly quite comparable to my D90
QFT. If your looking for the entry DSLR get the D40. The D40x is just a headache. If you really want the megapixels I wouldn’t get anything other than the D90. That’s just me though.
But thats the thing, if your an amateur and your buying any DSLR dont chase the MP’s. your just wasting money, unless money isnt n option the D40 IMO is the only way to go for a first DSLR, seriously if anyone doubts that PM me I’ll send you original 3008x2000 Resolution shots off this 6.1 Mp DSLR so you can see for your self.
