FS is a hp notebook 1000 series (dv1150us) laptop works just fine, but it overheats. ive had it work just fine for a few hours without any problems, but once you try to load a bunch of programs at once, it will shut off. for just browsing or doing a few things, it works just fine.

i never really got around to diagnosing the problem since i rarely use it.

also the battery is shot. fully charged it will last about 20 minutes. I’ve searched online and you can find a replacement battery for this on ebay for $40. the power cord and connection are fine. no issues with that at all.

You prolly have a bunch of dust and hair clogging your ventilation system. I bet it works just fine if you clean it all out.

meh maybe. only thing i really did was put new thermal paste on the heatsink, other than that never really took time to tear it apart and take a look

Exact same thing happened to my hp 4000 series. If you still have this in a few weeks i might grab it.
