It should. I never had it in any of my Imprezas, but I think you could mount it up pretty easy. What year is your car (I think 93 to 07 are pretty much the same)?
Something like this would make it really easy to put in - http://www.sparcousa.com/pseats_acc.asp?id=678 I have similar ones and it mounts to stock locations plus it would still have full adjustability.
