*** The only way I’ll sell is as a package deal, no part out sorry.

What I’m offering is full Sr20 swap included are the following:

  • Blacktop sr20det approx. 85,000 km
  • Brand new maxima clutch w/extreme PP plate
  • Very good condition modified street clutch kit (handles up to 450lb.tq) - now a spare
  • Dual 10” electrical fans
  • Short shifter
  • Engine dampener
  • Also a clean up of the engine bay possible repaint for a quick refresh.
  • 3" turbo elbow
  • 3" custom downpipe
  • 3" custom exhaust

I will give you a first hand test drive BEFORE you decide to buy this package, so you see the SR is in great running shape, pulls strong, and idles perfectly.

Basically you drop off your 240sx a in a few days leave with my SR, I’m looking for $3,800 package deal (which includes the install).

Well I’ve got pics of the 180sx front clip I got when it came to my house, it is a Blacktop, so automatically its a 94-98

As for being a 98’ well I know what I bought, I actually lost the biding on ebay, but called the guy up and he sold it to me anyways from Montreal.
He actually had a 1996 SR an RB25 and other motor sets, I chose the 98’ thinking newer less problems, and it sure has turned out that way.

I guess there isn’t a real way to prove its a 98’ just like there isn’t a real way to prove its a 94’, come on by take a ride and let the engine speak for itself.

what front bumper is that? do u still have it?

that is a stock 92’ bumper :stuck_out_tongue: yes i still have it, that is the motor set in my car, the clip did come in the same style bumper, no dont have it anymore.

if the clip had the same front bumper as what you have then it is not a type x front clip.

Does it have an E5 ECU?

yeah theres actually alot of small thing you can do to identify the year, chances are that was actually just an early black top

E5 ecu is just blacktop ecu
j4 is the type x ecu

Did not all blacktops come with the fins up on the front of the block?

its hard to see if they are there in the picture or not, but you are correct

the only motor not to have heatsinks on the front of the block below the valve cover was the early generation redtops.

… I havent yet checked the ecu so I cannot say its a 98’ type X, therefore I say its a Blacktop SR, when I bought it I was told it was a type x 98’ be it so, its still an amazing engine in great shape.

The reason Im selling this is cause I want a different project !! not selling the car, not selling cause theres anything wrong with it, just want something NEW.

Ive been running this SR for 2.5 yrs now with NO problems at all !!

sorry $2000 wont get me my next project, its either full (pays for new stuff) or I keep this, cause its been very reliable for me and im happy with it.

Thats why Im selling at a package deal… Im in NO hurry to sell, but if someone comes along… Its his gain.

how much do you think you would sell without installation? Minus exhaust,short shifter and spare clutches also…

I dont want to sell without installation, I’d be losing money that way and wouldnt have enough for new project so no I rather wait and sell it whole.
Hey i dont care if it doesnt sell at all, Im happy with my SR!

like I said, all or nothing.

If you still have it in a few weeks (2) when i get the right amount of money…then i will PM you so keep us posted here if its sold or not :slight_smile:

I also have a set of JDM Type x stide skirts and aftermarket rear type x…if tradeing these with cash would make the price lower i would do that too. either way i still have to wait though
