Hey guys - I had the front lower mounts drilled out slightly oversized in order to fit on my s14. I then realized the rear’s are 4 inches shorter and have a different bolt setup. 500kms on them. They’ve been sitting in my garage for a few months now. Tiny bit of surface rust on threads, the flash makes it look way worse. I will gladly clean this up with a wire brush before I send them off. My loss is your gain, I don’t want to sell these coils but the reality is I’d have to make an adapter plate for the rear, and I want to do this car properly.

The holes are hardly any bigger… makes no difference @ all.

does everything move freely. ie collars and bracket?

yep, they did a month ago - if you are serious I will clean them all up and make sure everything is in perfect order.

i cant justify spending 750 front used drilled out coils were i can get a set for 850 off of another member, in near mint shape.???

the holes are only slightly larger, this makes no difference whatsoever. I would say these are in near mint shape, the surface rust has been removed from the coils, they look and perform great.

I don’t think you can actually argue the point that it “makes no difference whatsoever”.

A larger diameter hole, regardless of how tight you crank down the bolts, COULD still induce a fair amount of front end slop if pushed hard.

thats what im getting at. the bottom bolt will have slop in the pivot allowing it to shift,becuase the hole is bigger where the top one that is sloted will be affected too cuz the chamber part of it is drilled out.

However, if you are stronger in a 5 year old boy, you can tighten it down causing no movement.

How are you helping out? Use an air impact and tighten it. Man up, it wont make a difference.
