AGXs wont take a slam very well, you better off getting a set of coils if you want slammed. Megans are good for a beginner setup and decent for the street. Check glustik’s thread he has a set for sale for $800, or contact Varun (slipperysilvia) for new ones.
Roll your fenders and a bit of a pull, once your lowered with some camber they should tuck up nicely. You only have 10mm for the fronts? If so I’d recommend a 20-25mm spacer to get em flush.
Is that the Megan type 2 exhaust?
Waiting on Ahmads “slammed is gay, strech is gay, the real guys in the states do it this way and thats how you should do it, son is lame” comment
Honestly I don’t know why or how you would want to be any lower… your car is already frame rail and oil pan scraping low … or at least close enough. It’s not even practical… AGXs will blow as stated above forget about it…
What is your car’s goal? Lowering it any further and you basically just make your ass more pain prone… If you just want the ‘look’ might as well save the oil pan and frames by getting some bigger area that goes lower to make it look lower. Just a suggestion… Otherwise stances apparently go really really low and ksports but ksports are absolute trash of trash. Not sure about megans if they go low low…
I got kei office coil overs on my S13, they are great, one time we slamed the car all the way down just for jokes to see what it’s like, I couldn’t even get over a pop can tillted on it’s side! I drove it down the street, I scraped everywhere, I turned around, drove it back in the shop and raised it again. It looked awesome but not to practical for GTA roads.
After the winter I plan on going with Stance GR+ Pro -$1429 (coilovers)
They are entry level, but worth the coin.
Best of all, they are Brand New. GL with your decission.
Oh and I heard that Megans (drift spec i think, or something like that) are really stiff and not suitable for street, but amazing for a begginer setup on the track.
Yes, stance are good if you wanna dish out the extra coin. Megan has a track or street series, each with suitable spring rates.
Figure out what you wanna do with your car (street, drift, drag ect…) and do some research to find out what coils fit your budget and work well for the driving you’ll be doing.
thanks guys i will be lookin into this research for suree am be stickin with my setup right now and just throw my enki rims but i will be needing some exttended studs and tuner lug nuts
The first thing to think about is are you going to track this car at all or just drive in the street? If your just going to drive in the street buy some sleeves and be done with it but if your gong to track this car at all, think about getting something that performs better, but then you’ll find out your car wont take a corner very well that low anyways, haha.
dont run a GC sleeve kit on AGXs, you’ll regret your life. There is one guy I know that even tracked that, but after getting rid of the setup he cuzzed at them. The KYB stuff will blow as it cant really handle higher spring rates or lowering. It’ll get bouncy fast if you do that. In fact I owned AGXs, when I was installing them it said running springs that lower more than 2.0" voids the warranty (whatever that warranty is lol). I installed 1.5" drop springs by Tein though.
If you want to do it right… itll be hard if you ALSO just want to slam it (here we go Im gona get bashed). If your goal is just to SLAM the car, get like… megans or something.
If you want your car to handle… dont slam the car that that low… to begin with… If I were building a comfy well mannered car I’d go with 7kg/mm front and 5kg/mm rear koni yellows… and maybe whiteline swaybars front and rear… if you want to slam the car, and dont care about that… well… just get megans theyll go pretty low and stances theyll go lower too, i think bings had a thread a long long time ago on ziptied or something where he showed how low the car can go… and they were better built and better in feel than megans that hopped all over.
Thanks guys for ur time n effort but I need to put more effort searching myself, and am looking just for street setup am not ready for track or anything right now.Am pass this yr and roll with my sample setup and throw on my new Enkei RS III rims that grabbed of SON member (Kengi)
another question guys
since the rims little high offset am be needing Wheel studs. regular lugnuts wont fit through the rims, and a few 10mm spacers would help with flushness anyways
where do i find a good place for tuner lug nuts,Arp wheel studs,10mm spacers?
and heres a sample of the rims am be rolling with!
meshie love ftw. i’m assuming they might be 2 piece. have you ever thought of flipping the centers and refinishing your dish? go old school try that out. who knows, maybe you won’t even need a ridiculous spacer setup then.
^^sorry, just be sure to check how thick your center pieces are…i’m not recommending this, but i mean if you’re just gonna be on the street, it’s something worth giving a try and test fitting to see for yourself. good way to kill time.
Meshie are sick man am big fan, the once i have are 3 piece. Am not interested in going old skool loll. I love’em the way they are now, but just gotta have my car suspension and fenders done.
