Only $2,000 obo for OLD SKOOL KOOL!

My sister bought this car thinking I had some spare time on my hands to “fix it up” for her…I don’t.

The original plan was to just get it running and give it back to her for the summer so she could decide if she really wanted to spend money on it. The car was running and could have been driven in its current condition (albeit ugly) but the cam broke so I pulled the engine to do the rebuild. The engine is out of the car now. The engine rebuild didn’t deter her but I let her drive my 69 2000 and she realized she can’t see over the steering wheel so she doesn’t want to spend the money on the car she can’t drive.

Please note this is a project car. It needs to be restored but in theory with not much work you could drive it as is.

There are still plenty of parts for these cars from numerous suppliers. Check www.311s.org for lots of helpful information, lists of suppliers and even info on building a stroker or doing a KA or SR swap. Believe it or not the H20 Nissan Forklift engine shares lots of parts with this engine so that is another option for cheap parts if you don’t go the swap route.

As you will note in the sample parts pic, I have meticulously cleaned, labelled and bagged all parts removed from the car so you don’t have to worry about missing parts.

PM or E-Mail me.

awesome car, very nice, i have much appreciation for these cars, i may know someone who wants this, ill give them the link.

Thanks for the referral…

I have a 69 2000 and I have to say, in its own way it is as fun to drive and my 240 or GTR were. The 1600 is a four speed so isn’t as good on the highway as the 2000 with the five speed but the 1600 is a blast around town. I have an absolute blast driving my car. I can’t imagine what these would be like with a cheap bone stock KA dropped in or even an SR.

Anyone with the skills and time to fix up this 1600 will love it.

Old school FTW, I cant wait to get started on a 1000 I’m still trying to talk the owner out of. It will be a tough sell for 2 grand, unless you find the right buyer who knows how scarce these cars are becoming. Good Luck with the sale. Looks pretty rustless two. Let me know if the price drops.

The price will be what the buyer will pay. Make an offer. If your offer is less than two grand and I agree then…voila…the price dropped.

bump for a cheap rare japanese classic. id buy this in a second if i didint have a datsun already

You need two.

Bump.

I can’t believe I have only had three tire kickers on this classic so far.

Where is the old skool respect?

dam, Im really not sure what it is but I’m now pretty sure I cant afford this car. The 1000 parts are going to cost a small fourtine, and thats not including paint. All the talk none of the walk. Sorry sir.

Brian, I called you on the numbers you gave me. Left message but no reply.

Ummm…you haven’t seen the car so how do you know how much it needs? Anyway, yes the little parts do add up but any project car that needs a full restoration will require some money to do it right. It is not a $3,000 240SX that has a few hundred parts cars available for bits and pieces.

I will probably be working in Calgary within the next 3 weeks, a drive to Edmonton would be worth it to take a look, care to PM me your number and I’ll call you if you still have it then?
thanks,
Brian
