What condition are the Main bearing saddles in? Did you stripped it down and check the tap grooves? Have you been given a shop estimate on how much to fix?
I have not had a shop estimate , the crank is scored on cylinder #3 and the main bearing saddles are not damaged. to fix it i you would have to change the crank and one of the rods aswell as the brearings (obviously)
none of the other rod bearings showed any significant sign of wear. it was the rod on cylinder #3 that has spun.
So basically 800 for a head, turbo and a tranny?
