im selling a trans i had built about 2 years ogo for a friend
it dosent have very many miles on it maybe 3000 it has a shift kit in it kevelar band corvette servo and shifts through all gears hard it has a non lockup 2700 stall converter
we are doing a th350 swap 400 firm

hmmmm… would the stall be too high for my basically stock engine? i plan on putting a decent size street cam in it…
Gears play a roll as well.^^ Whats ur gears dirtye30? Oh, actually since the 700 has a nice first gear, u might be able to get away with a highway gear (ex. 2.78 ect)
I had a TH350 with a 2700 stall with 2.78’s out back and a mild 350 and it stalled to almost 3500.

the converter is actually a stock aftermarket replacement from a late 80s corvette no lockup tho its perfect for a mild motor

I just got finished putting in a 3.73 posi with Don tonight. and by just i mean a half hour ago. and by “I” I mean standing in the way saying “soooo, whats this do” and “would you like me to hold the light” and things of that sort. theres a 700r4 n my car stock plus i have the TCI lockup kit sitting in a box brand new.
I have a 700R4 with a shift kit, but I have no idea about anything else done to it lol. To my knowlege it’s stock :gotme:. I think it has 2.78 gears. 3.73s or 3.77s would be nice.

I know, I meant thats what I am running as far as gears. By “it” I meant the car in general…my bad.
How much power will a 700r4 handle?
Its a crap shoot. Some guys brag that they have 500RW HP/TQ and STILL have the stock trans, some have it go with less than 300hp. I’d “guess” 350hp/tq would be MY limit…just because I wouldnt wanna pull it twice.
from my experience, they are fine untill the slicks go on. after that, you’l be calling triple A for a ride home.
i dont want to over rate this tranny but its prob good for 400-500 no problem but im not making any gaurantees all i know is it shifts nice and stuff for the price its a good deal
