im in the middle of doing the SOHC to DOHC swap. The new engine is in the car and is ready to go except the harness i have doesnt fit for the '95 engine i have.
So i have my ka24de harness(uncut) for sale. 100$ firm (its what i paid for it)
Now, id rather do a trade for someone who has a harness from a '95 ka24de OBD1 s14.
the s14 loom will not fit the s13 chassis without extensive wiring modification.
The s13 loom works fine with the s14 motor provided you use all the s13 accessories in regards to MAF, distibutor, coil etc. Furthermore, you will not be able to use the s14 emissions on the motor, so either don’t run emissions or find an s13 lower plenum to be able to run emissions.
Do not mess with trying to affix an s14 wire loom to your s13 chassis.
I was under the impression that i either find an s14 harness or swap the lower intake mani and find a disstributor from an s13 ka24de.
Since my engine is in alreayd, i didnt want to take it out to help in ease the process of taking the lower intake manif out. I want to try and keep the top half if i do the swap since it flows better…
I dont have a disstributor from an s13 for my engine cause i have a SOHC and the s14 ka24.
IS there a guide on exactly what to do on the forum somewherE? i didnt see anything much on it…
Now when you say i need to use the s13 MAF and all that stuff, will some parts like the MAF off my SOHC work too?
