Why do people import automatics? if the soarer only comes auto in north america, but std and auto in japan…then why wouldn’t you import a std? just wondering i’ve seen a few imported auto’s and i dont know why.

^^^ probably because manuels are even rare in Japan and buying one to import its cheaper and more available in auto.

Supra tranny needs a custom shifter linkage, the Supra R154 is not as long as the Soarer R154. I’m very sad that this car is auto, I’m actually actively looking for a SC/Soarer right now, and I would’ve picked it up for sure if it was stick.
