No box for the Passport. Either way it wouldn’t matter if you aren’t the original owner. These have a one year limited warranty anyways.

While your advice is undoubtedly appreciated by the original poster, have you considered the possibility that he is already aware of the magical selling attributes associated with ebay? Instead of a long drawn out process that involves packaging, traveling to the post office, dealing with dead beat bidders, he just may prefer a quick local sale.
