/FT : 2002 Audi A4 - Built 01E GT3582R Sleeper

Listing this car for a friend, he doesn’t frequent these forums. He has been on the fence about selling for a while now, but finally is putting it up for sale officially. I can personally vouch for this car and how well it is put together. Below is contact info, and a book about the car. Please do not PM me to talk price. I can answer most questions about the car but the selling price and trades will be completely up to the owner.

It has come time for me to list my baby. My Dolphin Grey 2002 Audi A4 that has been my pride and joy for about 6 years is up for grabs. I have loved every minute of this car, and spent every dime I have made on it for the past few years. I got a new job in a new city and I have been commuting 200 miles a day with the car and its killing me to do it every day. The car now sits at 116k and is climbing daily. The miles don’t mean anything because very little on this car has more than 5k on it.

The car has been through many revisions throughout the years, going from K03-K04–GT2871-GT3071-GT3582-GT3076 and back to GT3582 (my favorite). I have had several failures along the road including several transmissions, engine and turbo failures due to the power levels, and have spent a lot of time making this monster reliable. I have to stop this commute its killing me to drive 3 plus hours a day, but this means moving to a new city with likely no garage. This car had been garage kept since new and I will simply not park it on the street in the city. I’m a mechanical engineer and work in the auto industry. I built this car the right way. I say that because there are a lot of hacks out there who do not know what they are doing. Where as you can be 100% certain that this car is put together the right way.

I am open to all kinds of trades at this point as I am not dead set on parting ways with the car, she runs great at the moment. I am interested in a lot of different cars as long as they are not front wheel drive or automatic (unless it’s a monster truck). I have cash and I would accept trades plus cash. Please don’t bother me with old /shitty cars and bogus offers as I don’t have time for that crap. And sorry but I will not trade for your rusty Volkswagen.

Details on the car:

Exterior:

Completely stock no one can tell anything is done to it. Only thing that you can see from the outside are the 4” tips which look like they belong there. Cops look at this car and they don’t think anything of it (a nice feature as I get pulled over in my red TT every time I drive it). The car is in great shape other than a few blemishes such as license plate marks in the rear bumper from an angry girlfriend and a few door dings.

Wheels + Suspension:

Stock non-sport suspension and stock wheels. Steering rack was replaces 30k miles ago though.

Brakes:

OEM brake upgrade to the B6 A4 3.0 setup. Front rotors are 312mm and back are slightly larger as well.

Head: Built AEB head, ported and polished with titanium retainer’s, Supertech high rate valve springs and Supertech Inconel single groove valves. 3 angle valve job. IE manual tensioner and IE dowel pinned crank pulley. Block: AMU swap, 29k miles when pulled from my Audi TT and built up using IE 20mm rods rifle drilled, and re-ringed with new bearings and seals throughout. All new seals and ARP hardware/ studs. Trigger wheel tac-welded, and flywheel speed wired on. Crank also dowel pinned at the timing belt pulley. Clutch: South bend built custom clutch segmented ceramic with SS pressure plate. Single mass steel flywheel speed wired to the crank (see the trend here). Transmission/ drivetrain: 01E 6 speed swap from a 2002 A4 3.0 was performed before having the 1-2 collar lock up. Another 01E was purchased (same 3.0 A4 transmission) and rebuilt using all upgraded syncros and collars from Advanced Auto Motion (now bulletproof). Swap involved new axles, rear differential, driveshaft, linkages, shifter assembly and sub frame. All mounts motor/trans/snub were upgraded to 034 units. Interior: The car has a platinum interior, but I still have a spotless real leather full black interior I haven’t had time to swap in. Can be included with the sale. Stereo: The car has a great audio system with custom sub boxes mounted in the trunk and under the front seats. 2 4ch amps and one Class D for the 12” sub (yes they are all needed for all these awesome speakers). Everything is stealth and looks factory. Front and rear components and 6x9 in the rear deck lid. A 7” touch screen in the dash is also included. So much work was involved I don’t even want to think about it anymore. Forced induction: GT3582 T3 .63 A/R turbo with custom 4 inch mandrel bent intake that clears everything, all aluminum hard piped with built in MAF sensor bung Top mounted SPA manifold Tial 38mm wastegate to 3 inch exhaust to dual 2.5 resonators then dual 2.5 mufflers to 4” tips out the back. PTE 600hp intercooler with custom 2.5 inch piping, made to fit WITH factory rebar unmodified and both fog lights, grills and a factory bumper completely stealth. Ask anyone who has put in an intercooler of this size in their A4. Nearly all of them had to cut something to get it to fit. I did not. Custom water/meth injection with on/off switch and warning light in custom gauge pod on steering column. Also included in this gauge pod is an AEM Tru-boost and AEM wideband. Another little piece that took time because it is done right. It looks almost factory and does not interfere with any of the cluster read outs. Ported and polished AEB intake manifold with S4 ported throttle body, and adapter with w/m port. Unitronic 8500 rpm tune 3” MAF, emissions delete and SAI/EGR delete. 910cc injectors. (full return fuel system swap is in the garage but I haven’t had time to install). Currently the car has a B6 S4 fuel pump.

There are many more components on this car that I have not listed. All of the high dollar parts are listed here, and the smaller parts are not. If you are that interested in a certain part not listed you can ask.

ASKING PRICE: $12,000

Very nice

how manys does this thing put down?

in for graphs too

Damn… Car is straight SNKKYY as Fuck! Lol. Glws man this is a special car.

does it have rear heated seats? that’s a real deal breaker :stuck_out_tongue:

Hot car. Very well built. I couldnt imagine walking away from a car i had so much invested into.

Thanks.

No dyno. My friend really wasn’t concerned about numbers. He built it to be driven.

With the current fuel setup, it should be able to make around 500 crank. With a fuel pump and some cams, 500 whp is obtainable on pump gas.

Thanks

Yep it does have heated rears. I’ll add that, lol.

And yeah I tell him all the time to keep it, but he has too many projects LOL.

this a great dd, i would happily rock this thing a few hundred miles a day… (awd, nav, sub, 6 spd, probably close to 30mpg on the highway)

Thanks for the good words.

Tell you friend, bump.
