Does anybody have a picture handy of a stock fuel injector for a 93 maxima It’s a v6 with the red valve covers (don’t know the engine type sorry).
Thanks in advance.

google much?
Yeah I know, DUH.
Here’s why I asked.
I helped my buddy change out the injector on his #1 cylinder about a week ago.
The car had a bad miss and the diagnostic said it was the #1 cylinder.
He had 2 injectors to pick from that he picked up at Advance.
When it came down to picking injectors I picked the one that matched the one that came out of the car. It looked like the one in the link you posted.
The other injector was totally different and was missing the little rubber and metal ground piece that goes under the injector hold down cap…
We put the car back together, and it fired up and ran fine. The miss was gone.
That was Saturday night.
Sunday afternoon he calls me and says the car is running rough, and #1 and #3 cylinder are getting spark but aren’t firing.
By mid week he takes it to his mechanic. His mechanic says the we put the wrong injector into it, and it dumped so much gas into #1 that it washed the cylinder walls clean, the rings fragged, and scored the cylinder walls.
Is this even possible? If it was the wrong injector it would have run like crap right off the bat right?
heck yea it’s possible. It may run uber rich till he gets on it then kaboom.
so there’s so much difference in maxima injectors that if I go into an advance and ask for 1 1993 maxima injector for a v6, the Advance guy will have one that looks totally stock but flows so much gas that the cylinder will implode in one day?
if your dont know the motor code already, it is a VG30e
Thanks man, I’ll take another look
I dunno they all look like the one I picked. And it matched the injector that came out of the car.
The thing ran perfect Saturday night and then Sunday it went bad.
I can’t see how an oem injecctor would flow so much gas overnight to blow the rings out. Maybe over a long stretch of time like a couple of months.
do a motor swap, put a vg30de in it or just another vg30e in it
Looks like that’s what’s going to happen.
Any advice on a local shop that will install an engine?
1st-try
Thanks man
