im just wondering for my 89 240 if anyone knows the most efficicent way to get to the fuel pump as it is in the gas tank…do i have to remove the whole tank or is there any other access to it like the hatch or somethin

You access it from your trunk.
- Open trunk
- Lift carpet to spare tire
- To the right is a silver circular panel with a black rubber thingy in the middle with wires running to it
- Open it
- You’ll see another panel
- This is the access to fuel tank
- Disconnect hoses and any harnesses
- Make sure they don’t fall behind tank
- Open panel
- There is fuel pump
That was just a general overview, but you’ll get the drift as you move along. Search zilvia or freshalloy or something. Someone has a step by step on the process.
