i have to re-place my fuel pump on a 1989 240sx fastback, where is the fuel pump located is it under the rear seats ??
open your hatch, pull up the carpet covering the spare tire. On the passenger side you will see a roundish metal cover, that is the access panel.
once u remove the carpet in the back, just look towards your right, you wont miss it. i think it’s held in by a few 10mm bolts or you could use a philips.

There is a cover that ‘seals’ the trunk, once you remove that then you expose the top of the gastank and the top of the fuel pump assembly.
when you unbolt that you can pull the whole thing out, just make sure you don’t lose the rubber ring that goes around the outside to seal it.
or brake any rusted lines
i belive its an 8mm, just use a 1/4 drive with a 8mm with an extension, if it doesnt go on the bolts easily use a hammer to tap it on and then giver , make sure u undo the lines first as it can be a pain in hte ass to get them off once the sending unit is unbolted , once u have the lines off use some vise grips or some sort of locking pliers to hold the lines in place , they tend to go for a slide down into a hard to reach spot , do not pry on the lines or bend the metal lines coming out of the sending unit in any way , if the hoses have never been off there is a very good chance that u will crack them , use a little bit of penetrating fluid or wd40 to help loosen the rubber up a bit and then get some pliers and twist the hose side to side, hope this helps u out dude
