I’ve gotten a few good races since I’ve had the headers on the car, but there was never anyone around to tape them or everyone else wanted to jump in their own cars and try to poach my races :Idiots (if people are interested in the previous races then I can post them up in story form). Last night I set up a few races and made sure there would be someone to film them :rockon
First up was my G8 vs my friend’s 2005 Corvette.
2009 G8 GT, A6
Mods: cold air intake, long tube headers with full exhaust, underdrive pulley, tune
2005 Corvette, M6 (the car has a Z06 body kit, but it is not a Z06)
Mods: cold air intake
The camera man was in the G8 and there was no passenger in the Corvette.
First race was from a 40 mph roll (be sure to watch my buddy make me look stupid in his CTS-V at the end :ahh)
Second race was from a 50 mph roll, which is a better speed for my car.
Next up, we decided to line up the Corvette and the CTS-V.
2009 CTS-V, A6, Stock (456 rwhp, 447 rwtq)
For these races there was a passenger in both cars and both races were from a 40 mph roll.
The CTS-V is just plain nasty from a roll. From low speeds it has no traction though and it’s funny to watch a big 4-door sedan blow sideways and leave long strips from a 20 or 30 mph roll.
