Went out last night actively hunting for races :ninja I tried to get a couple guys to run me with no success. One had a 96-98 GT that had heads/cams/full bolt-ons/4.10’s and he said it dynoed 303 rwhp. Another had an LS1 Z28 with bolt-ons. They both seemed very interested, but were afraid of being in trouble, which I can respect.
I ended up lining up with a guy I know that has a Formula.
2009 G9 GT, A6
Mods: cold air intake, long tube headers with full exhaust, underdrive pulley, tune
1999 Formula, M6
Mods: lid, LS6 intake, long tube headers with full exhaust, underdrive pulley, tune
The camera man was in my car and there were no passengers in the Formula. The race was from a 40 mph roll.
Next I lined up with my buddy in his CTS-V. We knew it would be a one sided race, but figured, why the hell not.
2009 CTS-V, A6, Stock (456 rwhp, 447 rwtq)
The camera man was in my car and there were no passengers in the V. The race was from a 40 mph roll.
Later on, a few of us were hanging out and I saw a white Audi S4 parked in the lot. I asked my friend about it and he knew the guy and was able to set up the race. It was just the way it should always go, as there was no BS. The guy was real cool and agreed to the race and then was like, “let’s go.” No bench racing BS.
2005 Audi S4, M6, Stock
There was a passenger in both cars and the race was from a 20 mph roll.
To be honest, I thought something must have gone wrong, as I didn’t expect to win that bad, but we went out after with no passengers and raced about 5 more times from different speeds and the races always had the same outcome. Sounds like he might mod up now though :tbu
Overall, a great night with a bunch of fun races!
