Asked about the future of the Pontiac G8, slated to end production with the 2009 model year, Lutz told Automobile Magazine the car would find its way into Chevrolet showrooms under the Caprice name.
“The last time we looked at [the G8], we decided that we would continue to import it as a Chevrolet,” Lutz said. “It is kind of too good to waste.”
No I believe that is the middle east variant of the Chevy on the longer platform.
I would expect some changes when they move it over to the US on the shorter wheelbase and a different front end on the SS.
what a terrible move on there part! why dont we just take the malibu, reshape minor things, and add some slits in the fender. we have a new type of car.
this company does not know how to make an appealing car to people with money and the want for power and a sedan.
they really botched this car up pretty bad!
malibu
ford 500
those are the cars that i think more resembles this hunk of shit!

we arent talking about cadi, we are talking about gm making the g8 into a chevy now. i understand they are all the same company, but imo they just destroyed the name and the look of the car.
Sure that one doesn’t have a V8 but its the holden statesman on zeta, so it could. Whats strange is that it doesn’t ahve the classic Buick grilles on the fenders and the caprice has a little port there.
