Chevy getting the G8? what should it get called?

I was wondering what the fbod guys on here think of the possibility of chevy rebadging the g8 as a sedan version of the camaro ss. Have they gone to far lol? What do you guys think I have seen a few ideas thrown around impalla ss, caprice ss, I personally think it would be cool to see the chevelle or nova ss name revived.

I personally think chevelle ss would be cool and i like the reworked bumpers and grill.
If it ends up looking like this and a stick 5speed option appears in the next year or so Im feeling a black one for a new daily does anyone on here have one whats the round about gas mileage on the gt’s.

chevelle would be cool but i agree that it is not deserving. that is pretty much on of the last brands they didnt eff up

that with some meats in the back, like a 335+, would look absolutely badass… a better back end than the new camaro

Biscayne would be sweet. But if they even do this car, and I’m skeptical that they even will (not green enough for their major shareholder) they will pussy out can call it something like caprice.

I do love the way it looks though. lose that hood scoop and its prefect. Like it a lot better than the Pontiac.

6spd is pretty much the new standard. 5 spd will do but who wants 5 when they can have 6?

id love to see it come out under the Chevy badge as the Biscayne
then they can still offer the impala to the old codgers still have their car
i think the solstice/sky could be rebadged as the Nova

The OP made mention of 5 spd since you asked. If there is a manual option in that I’m sure it’d be 6 anyway. Just sayin.
