Galleria Mall Brawl -> Escalator Stunt

Yeah, you guys are probably right. Black people are a plague on society and should be treated as such.

Now that is racist. I would say a good approach is to first identify areas of needed improvement, such as education, and improve them.

It would be racist to ignore the problem and allow a demographic to fail. So you are saying based of facts like numbers, hard data, and math stuffs, that you can’t identify a demographic that needs help improving?

Nobody is saying that but denying facts and hard numbers is an issue.

This is why I say shit in those “OMG BUFFALO IS BACK WE BUILT A ICE RANK” threads…All that is great but until you fix the city school system, get jobs here, and decrease the poverty rate here its all for nothing.

Not what I’m saying at all. But if you had to bet on who would be more successful (career wise) a high school dropout or a college grad…who are you putting your money on and why?

At the same time though, Buffalo doesn’t need to be shoved off a cliff and burned to the ground. Are there areas that Buffalo sucks at…absolutely. Is Buffalo making progress…absolutely. Will everything the Buffalo does fix Buffalo…definitely not. Same with certain minority groups.

And this is exactly why racism will continue forever in this country. When ever you confront someone with cold facts and want to have an honest discussion about why they throw up their hands, cry racism, and leave.

Love when all you fggts start arguing with one another

I can understand this post from you when said in this way. There ARE still problems - by and large, the finished product of the school systems HAS been been weak. The poverty rate IS still high. There are NOT enough jobs. All these things are true, no question.

Having said all that, I have lived in the city (Black Rock / Riverside) my whole life, and I am a product of the Buffalo Public School System - I can honestly tell you, I feel I had a great education - caring teachers, real world environment, activities/sports to partake in, etc. I am doing just fine…

Now, I also had a fairly stable upbringing - lived in the same home, and while they divorced, I still had great parents, etc. We were not wealthy at all, but we were stable. I feel this, unequivocally, is the most important factor in how a child turns out…it is not the school system…

How old are you though? Comparing the schools when you were a kid to what’s going on in Buffalo public schools right now is hardly a fair comparison.

This! You can say fix the school system all you want, but then let’s talk about the absenteeism rate of the buffalo school system. I won’t sit here and say that city school systems have everything going right, there are many many issues that plague them across the country. But when kids don’t make it to school, that’s a parenting issue. And when kids don’t follow through with their school work at home, again, it’s a parenting issue. Schools have no control with what the kids do when they leave at the end of the day.

I am 30…it was not that long ago, and I know enough teachers that have been in the system for decades to know it is not much different now than it was 10 or so years ago…

Times have changed, I’m a little younger than you but I remember the same thing. There was no disrespecting teachers, you respected your elders or your parents let you know about it. I think these kids are probably good kids that just don’t know any better. Parenting is such a key component in shaping a kids future. It sounds corny and cliche, but it’s true. If everyone just treated people how they wanted to be treated we’d live in a better society.

Isn’t the very word “racist” discriminatory? We don’t have races for other animals do we? If you use the word you are creating a division, if all people are the same then the word should not even be used.

Ahhhh.

What would Al Sharpton do then?

DIAF would be a good start.

At the very least locked up and throw the key away for the division he’s created and nursed along in this country.

I thought Obama was going to fix all of this?

lol sarcasm noted. That said, Obama has gone out of his way to cultivate racism and breed a generation of victims.

It really makes me sad that a few of you having the same conversation yet again is more interesting and gets far more comments over say JuicedZ4s siq ass garage build, norbs recent updates, etc.

You guys still like cars or did your wives tell you its not allowed anymore?

Not allowed.
