Garage Door openers?

had to fix my garage door track today, and found the the gearing system within the motor side sheared the gears, so I am going to replace the whole unit. The one I have is a liftmaster 1/2 hp. Do the ones at sears have any problems and will it retrofit the one I have, seems like the internet searches have led me to believe it might. anyone ever use sears brand?

Gf’s dad owns a garage door buisness. you looking for it installed or just the opened itself?
