Approximately 2000 sf. 8 x 11 garage door.
Moved in about 18 months ago. Never had a garage / shop before but I got an opportunity and don’t know how I was able to get things done without one.
Not pretty and not in a pretty neighborhood, but it has all the basics. Decent lighting, heat, power, air compressor, blast cabinet, functional toilet / sink, 10,000 lb. lift, and decent security system.
I was sharing this with a partner / friend and he decided to take up more space in an area attached to mine so it worked out better for the both of us.
I now have the opportunity to get so much more done. Again, not as pretty as a lot of others on here, but the model of functionality.
Pre Move In
Built a divider wall and started loading it up. Table saw since moved out to the back.
And I’m just getting started, well it’s there, but it’s old. Two bays, two sectioned off rooms out back. One is what looks like it used to be a workshop…complete with a non-working wood stove, but it looks like I could get it cleaned out and use it. My preliminary plans are to get the Amish over to give me an idea of where to start, then try to do a sympathetic resto on zee outside, whilst modernizing the inside…

Also, I’m just happy to have a place to park both vehicles for now so I don’t have to listen to the wife bitch about having to clean off her car all the time.
i want your barn. thats the exact type of building im looking for…convert to a shop on lower level and living space in the upstairs…
That’s hopefully the way I’ll be able to go. Just instead of a living space upstairs, it’ll be some sort of media/entertainment room. There is going to be a bit of structural work to do, as the PO let a hole in the roof wreak havoc on the second story floor, and rot it out.

i’ll get some here shortly…not much to see. i recently wrapped up a 15 month long duplex renovation and pretty much all of the crap from there now inhabits the garage…i’ll give it a clean up this weekend and post some updates
