Alright, just an update. Brian from USDrift just called me. Talked to him. Things are coming along.
Drift Hustle guys check inboxs.
JClark I may end up talking to you for some help (PM me your #). It looks like we’ll need references so getting some of your friends who run SCCA/NASA events in touch with us could help out greatly.
Monday update. for those that care/so you know we’re actually doing work.
Met with Xgates. We got all dressed up (so PRO). Rep we met with was real nice, she’s going to try, but is doubtful it’ll get approved. All in all better than expected.
Should hear from Lebanon for a follow up around Wednesday. Hopefully get dates and details squared.
Once done, then we’ll wrap up USDrift talks and BAM we have our events.
we also are planning on talking with several other locations in the upcoming weeks. Like tungsten said, we should also be finishing up talks with usdrift soon as well.
Thanks everyone for the positive support and we look forward to seeing you guys as the weather gets warmer
dude you have stock 14s/15s, go to any random tire place and tell them you want their junk tires in the sizes you want. theyll give em to you, as many as you want, for free.
Question on US drift rules… are we just doing practice session or events? The reason I ask US drift rules state that for sweet 16 tournements, have a list of requirements? I think it would help a couple guys just to list the neccessary equipment that all cars must have just so we are all on the same page.
as of right now we are just planning open practice sessions…
as far as equipment goes, I don’t think we will be too stringent considering we are trying to get as many people to come as possible. For tech inspections we will most likely be looking at the following:
-no leaks, anywhere
-brakes function properly
-seatbelts work
-seats are not broken or rigged up
-suspension components(no broken tie rods, etc.)
I’m sure their may be more involved for inspections but as of right now that’s what we have discussed. I believe USDrift will be a little more lenient considering we aren’t starting off with a full blown competition.
