GB: DOT Approved Stainless Brakelines *Silver* $100/pair

Guys, I’ve been meaning to do this GB for a while but I’ve been so busy
trying to part the car out and whatnot, but anyways, here goes.

Here is some basic info on the product:

  • DOT Approved
  • High quality fittings
  • Braided stainless
  • Teflon coated for additional durability

These are availible in more than just Z32 conversion…

240SX Applications:

  • 240SX Front
  • 240SX Rear
  • Z32 Conversion for 240SX Front
  • Z32 Conversion for 240SX Rear

Individual pricing is as follows:

  • 240SX Front - $100
  • 240SX Rear - $100
  • Z32 Conversion Front - $100
  • Z32 Conversion Rear - $100

Combo pricing is as follows:

  • Z32 Conversion Front & 240SX Rear - $175
  • 240SX Front & 240SX Rear - $175

The price is the final price, in your hands, for these fine pieces. They will
be availible for pickup within 3 business days of my placing the order.
There is no turn-around, they are already made and packaged. Just have
to wait on shipping.

For anyone interested I can have these here for the Niagara meet.
Otherwise they will have to be picked up in the GTA area.

I will post pics later on, and get some more info for you guys… gotta go to
work now…

OH snap! I am jumping on this

pfff… they dont have any sweet colours…

and andrew forgot to tell you that the lines are for homosexuals only…j/k

You have pics of the lines? Do these lines have the extra fittings on them?

That is a pretty good price for what they are “advertised” as.

Theo

I am going to woodbine and 16th tonight so I could pick them up tonight if possible.

  1. Drift_ready180sx - Z32 Conversion Front & 240SX Rear - $175(Niagara)
  2. Solarian (Antonio) - Z32 Conv Fronts, Z32 Conv Rears - $200 (GTA pickup, ASAP)

  4. Average Player - z32 conversion fronts. - 100 (GTA pick up asap)

I guess i’ll drop out of the other gb since this one is cheaper.

The lines aren’t here for pickup yet. I have to order them and wait on
shipping.

I will post pics shortly.

The fittings look to me as if they are better than the other lines.

DTS is running these lines on his car and is very happy with them.

PICS soon.

If they are the ones on your site, they have multiple fittings on them.

multiple fittings = shoemaker

Theo, they are the same ones listed on my site. They are very well made
and are by no means “shoemaker”. IMHO the fittings used on your lines
are “shoemaker”. See the image below, flared fittings are pretty ghetto
IMO on a product that costs $135CAD.

Here are some sample images:

Z32 Conversion

240SX Rear

if i wanted plain Z32 lines, i would go with these…

in fact i would recommend them simply based on price.

Deadline for this GB is August 14th, 2005

I must have the money by then if you want a set.

They will be here in time for Niagara on the 21st.

I can also get STAINLESS BRAIDED CLUTCH LINES. I still need to workout
the cost, but it should be around $75 CAD. Add to the list if you want it, it
won’t be more than $75 CAD, may be a little less.

If flairs are ghetto, why would almost every brand new car come with them and not with 3 fittings on them?

It is very hard, even for the beginner, to screw up the installation of a flaired fitting, where as a fitting that has been coupled from SAE to Metric via extra fittings has up to 4 or 5 potential leaking spots. Not to mention the mistery fittings under the black sealed area. What are they trying to hide there?

Brakes are one thing I don’t cut corners on, that is why mine ARE DOT approved, and not just advertised as being that.

I know this isn’t going to bring people back to Bing and my buy, I just want them to be aware.

Theo

Brand new cars use flairs because they use hardlines, and thats what you
use on hardlines.

Who is to say the parts of your fittings covered by rubber are any better
than these? These are built by a hydraulic shop, they know what they are
doing. I have already used these same lines, and so has DTS. They fit
great and there are no problems.

Either way these are far superior to the stock rubber hoses, and those
meet DOT standards just like these. There is nothing wrong with these
lines, they are just as safe as any other stainless lines out there. Don’t
let the price be deceiving. They are normally sold for the same price as
your other lines, but I am running a heavy discount for this group buy.

Saying these use a bajillion fittings is also flawed. There is one fitting
which adapts the hardline to the softline, and one more to adapt the
female fitting to a male fitting.

These ARE DOT approved. This shop makes a hell of alot more
applications too. They wouldnt be in business if they sold faulty products.

take your self promotion for your brake lines out of the group buy for these lines. nobody cares about your speculations and spreading of information which is not correct.

you dont even own these lines.

and to make matters worse your information about these lines having 5 extra un needed fittings is compleatly wrong there are 3 fittings and no “mystery” fittings that your talking about…ya i own a 10000 hp skyline i cant make things up too.

if you cant tighten a 14mm nut then you should seriously sell your car right now.

im sure your lines look super baller and are great but there is no need to do this in another GB for brake lines you can do that in your own post

anyways

these fittings are awesome, quality is top notch better than PDM lines when i compaired them by a huge amount.

they look georgious with properly coated fittings to prevent corrosion, they dont leak and work like champions. not to mention they make the 300zx brake conversion a snap for 1 bill there in your hands done and done.

i have delt with the source for these lines and he is a very honest caring person, who makes sure only the best products are shipped out.

ill post pics tonight

I went with PDM’s lines. I paid some $130cad to my door but that was
due to the extra $20 on shipping. :run:

Parts from Russel and Earl speak for themselves. I’m not too sure on
Aeroquip although looking at Aeroquip’s site, they seem fairly
reputable. :dunno:

I trust the stuff PDM sells over the stuff being mass produced/distributed
these days. I’m not going to comment on these since I don’t own them
but to compare them as being “better then” PDM’s product considering [b you[/b] haven’t owned a pair is just plain ignorance.

(Unless you have owned them then obviously I’m mistaken in my word).

Scott has seen and used both.

Speaking of one piece fittings. The fitting Heavy Throttle uses on their
lines are one peice fittings. When Jantos and I installed my Z32 brakes
a couple years ago, the fitting cracked right in half. One piece fitting
doesn’t make anything good.

These lines are excellent quality. They are made by a hydraulic shop in
the United States of Amuricah… They aren’t some mass produced lines
from China that are going to fall apart. They ARE DOT approved, and
the guys who make these know what they are doing. This is their job…
hydraulic shops ASSEMBLE HIGH PRESSURE LINES… this is what they do
all day every day.

For $100 you won’t get any better lines.

kthnxbye
