So like, the server room at my workplace has this little temperature monitoring device, which calls and e-mails a particular group of people (read as : IT dept) when the user-defined temperature threashold is met or exceeded.
So this morning, the building decides to do a reset of all the A/C units. Unfortunately our little 3/4 tonne unit doesn’t reset by itself, it needs a little user intervention. So our server room began it’s rapid ascension (sp?) to it’s temperature threashold of 85 degrees.
Fast foward to 6AM
I’m passed out on my bed
My phone starts to ring
I wake up and pick it up. A computerized voice lets me know that the temp is going up, and it’s 86 degrees now.
4 minutes later it calls me again, it is now 87.
5 minutes, it’s 88.
So I wake up and change and hop on the 7:10 express into Grand Central.
And now everything is fine.
I’m tired. Very tired.
fin my sob story of why I’m tired. Thanks for looking.
i have a set of those eyeglasses that have eyes on them… i wore them to an early work meeting here… everybody got a good laugh about it… i got em on ebay for 1 dollar shipped
So after reading this post as well as some others it reminded me that i never went to NYC and i would really like to before it starts to snow, can anyone tell me the cheapest way to go(college budget)? And how many days it would take to have a good time?Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Yeah gas alone will be more expensive then flying.
Im heading out there in early dec. Think my round trip flight was $133, staying with a friend so thats nice. You can always look on travelocity, or one of those types of site for combos with hotel and flight
Im only going for 3 days, but it would take closer to 5 days to a full week to do all the normal sightseeing crap.
Expect everything to be expensive. There are cheap-er restaurants and crap, just gotta do some walking, look at menus and shit to see whats good. Wendys is nice since a dollar menu item isnt jacked up in NYC.
hotel thirty thirty… its in mid-town great rates, and ok rooms. i know when im in NYC, i dont spend much time in the room other than to f*ck and sleep, so its perfect for me and its under $100 a night.
as for how long you gotta be there to have fun-- less than 1 day IMO.
I thought you didn’t live in manhattan? I’ll def. be going back again though, might be going back for a halloween party end of october. It was my first time there and it was definetly a lot different being there in person than seeing it in movies/TV. Times Square at midnite is nuts, so many lights its like walking around in daylight.
As for others that wanna go, i took a greyhound for $28 roundtrip they were having special prices for buses going to nyc, i dont know if they have a deal from buffalo though.
