and no ive never been in the market for an american car. ive owned 3 (all of which were given to my by my dad), and hated every last one of them. from the interior to the drive train to the reliability and maintenance.
as far as sporty low maintnece reliable compacts go… usdm cars suck.
now if i was in the market for a mini van, suv, or truck it would be a whole diffrent story…
arent you the acne prone kid at advance who was there the other day? me and my buddy walked in you whispered something to the girl at the counter and went and hid in back, youd have much trouble knockign me out btw
i honestly bet that my truck would outlast your car, just from the fact that its in good condition and the motors are known to go to 250-300k if well maintained where as your car and its cheap materials will be rotted completely out in about 6 years and it costed me about 22,000 less and i still pull more tail in it then you do in your car , so id reconsider the failing at life comment and look in a mirror - directed towards cky89
What’s interesting in this is that Cerberus already owns 51% of GMAC… so I wonder how much of a meltdown this would really cause.
And besides, this would create a hell of an overlap in product lines (Jeep vs. Hummer for example), dealerships, etc… and not in a good way.
Oh, and I wonder if Congress would go for it, and how the UAW would take this, especially since there’d be a push to dump more “excess production overcapacity”.
Of course, with GM’s Market Cap around $3 billion, it’s probably fairly easy for Cerberus to “take GM private” by shedding off certain parts of Chrysler & using that to do a leveraged buyout of what’s there with GM (sorta like what happened with K-Mart and Sears).
I agree 100% with you, GM has one of the highest quality rating in the world now (finally!) and makes awesome product, they do not need to add Chrysler. I don’t think Chrysler would be helping them at all since they are already giving vehicles away and still can’t sell them.
