GM is like that retarded hamster that keeps licking the electrified water bottle

Right, because the way to get ahead in a highly competitive market is to sit on your laurels doing the same old thing, not taking calculated risks to bring innovative new products and technologies to market first. :bloated:

Maybe GM should take a good hard look at what they were doing in the '60’s. Success leaves clues. They were doing something right then. Yeah, they didn’t have Japanese competition but they did have competition. Stuffing big motors into 4 door sedans created the muscle car era. Why not try it again? It seems to be working for Daimler-Chrysler. They seem to be doing pretty well following the current modern rebirth of the muscle car era by putting a strong FI 4 cylinder in their base economy car (Cobalt-SS/SC, Impreza-WRX, Lancer-EVO, Neon-SRT4…), the publicity and image from these high-powered cars in turn drives sales of the base models. Why not examine other trends?

As previously pointed out, unless there’s more to the story than what you showed, driving a car from one of their subsidiaries around Detroit doesn’t mean shit.

They aren’t diluting or bastardizing anything by using a good motor in multiple products. That’s a smart way to keep their costs down, which is exactly what they need to do to survive. It’s not that their cars aren’t selling. Look around. There are new GM’s EVERYWHERE. The problem is that their manufacturing is so bloated by union salaries, materials costs, etc that it’s almost impossible to turn a profit.

You seem to be awfully pissed off that a 4 door sedan with an LSx exists, but maybe you should re-examine your reasoning. You seem to be trying to justify some sort of elitist/jealousy thing.
