GM, Renault, Nissan alliance talks called off

Thank God. The last thing we need is a Daimler Chrysler Situation. Nissan already copy pastes almost every design they have from one of their cars to the other (grills, etc), we dont need some insane Grand Am offspring, well besides the S15 :stuck_out_tongue:

Phew.

:Stupid People:

Afterward, GM officials voiced skepticism about the proposed linkup, saying Renault-Nissan stands to benefit more than GM.

I guess GM will just have to keep buying honda engines and putting them in thier cars.

This good news… Now Renault/Nissan will try the same thing with ford… If thats any better

seriously I dont know how car companies cant hack it nowdays … this is bullshit … soo many marketing geniuses nowdays and still cant win

with all the european marvels that gm owns why cant they bring that european quality to their north american cars?

b.c hicks still love their dodge rams.

Face it, people by cars because of a couple of factors…

  1. Price: ever wonder why there is so many Cavs, Sunfires and Neons out there? well they start at under 14 Grand NEW

  2. Company support: “I drive me a Insert Company Name HERE cuz they’re the best” even though they might have the worlds largest recall (Ford), shitty oil consuming motors (Nissan, fair is fair), and crappy looking cars (Toyota)…

I could go on, but dont really want to get flamed by someone on their opinions…

rofllmao ^^^

Thank You Thank You! I’ll be making up more quality bullshit all night…

quality = less break down = less money for the manufacturer in the long run. They love it when you keep pouring money into your 300,000km Chrysler Minivan to keep it running.

I once watched a talk show where a higher-up from GM admitted that all 3 of the big american car manufactuers build cars with a deliberate “lifetime to catistrophic failure” where-as some major money will be going back into the car to keep it running.

Maybe mitsu bought into this scheme too… :o
