I think the Hummer and SAAB brand will be safe, even if GM decides to sell it off; I am sure someone will pick those up. To me there is only one Hummer and that is the H1, that car will live on, oil crisis or not, there will always be a demand (however small) for it. It would be funny if FHI picked up SAAB, adding them to their auto and aerospace portfolio, and turn it into some “luxury” Japanese brand like Lexus and Infiniti.
your car wont be worth anymore than it is now if they get rid of saturn and saab they would do better along wit subaru yes g/m is in bed wit them also ,they would do a lot better along with ditching half the concept,s that never make it. if they ax pontiac they would lose a few cars like the new camaro as there based on a pontiac platform or the zeta platform so i doubt they would kill them ,get rid of the hummer h3 and h3t and they would be off to a better start
One last race between McLosen and SSmokin. I predict the torque of SSmoookin’s LS1 to beat anything McLosen can do. McLosen, SSmokin, and PantsParty sell their cars for a few trillion each and move to Fiji and join the next Survivor series.
Seriously though, I heard this idea today and I see nothing wrong with it besides it taking a little bit to be put into effect and chopping off certain dealerships, but how about take the Big 3’s few successful cars, (Jeeps, Corvettes, Mustangs, Town & Country minivans), then have one Sebring/Malibu type car, an Edge/Traverse type crossover, a cool car like the PT Cruiser used to be or the Flex is now, have a Crossfire/Solstice type of deal and take the best things out of the Ram/F series/Silverado trucks and put it under one name… AMC. I think over the long run this is by far the best solution, then have a big ol’ orgy of all the top secret new cars that are in each of their pipelines and have those under AMC, too.
