I just got back from Pole Position, I went with a group of FLR region autocrossers. It was a lot of fun, definitely one of the best kart rentals I’ve done, but not as good as cherry valley. The karts accelerate about the same, but have much less grip due to tires and weight. The biggest issue is that it’s really hard to pass even if you’re much faster, the track is pretty narrow. On being much faster, we were ~8-10sec faster per lap than some of the ‘normal’ people there, luckily we had a big enough group that we didn’t get any rolling chicanes out there with us.
Fast lap from our group was 25.440, I was 25.670, and the track record is 25.100. Once they accidentally left the karts an a slower speed setting, so we told the guy and he had no issue comping us for another race. It was still fun though, and the slower speeds helped me find time to shave for next time because it was our last race.
I went there today. Had a blast, my group i went out with was kinda big so most laps i was passing people. Only had maybe two clean ones. 1st place. Best lap 26.46
