God i hate technology sound problems

Ok heres the deal I just got a Logitech G25 wheel to use on my comp. As soon as the wheel is recognized by the computer my sounds goes wacky and gets distorted and staticy. Ive gone threw reinstalled 20 times now updated drivers bla bla bla. Supposedly some ppl say that the wheel screws with the usb shit and distorts it.

So i go threw my shit and have my add on sound card so try do used that. Well install everything try to listen to something and nothings there. So im thinking i did something wrong go threw reinstall set up bla bla bla nothing. Randomly i just turn volume up to full and can start to hear things but obv not right if i have to go full to hear something.

So if anyone has an idea how to get my god damn sound back to a working state that would be great. Im the suck with computers and did everything that i could think of/ understand how to do to make this shit work.

Cliffs: Get G25 wheel for comp
Sound gets fucked up
Add a sound card
Sound is dumb quiet
Cant fix shit HELP

check your wave volume

IRQ conflict? Not sure with USB tho. Check Device manager and see if anything is listed in red

Tried wave volume when using the sound card made it alittle louder but was still as full to hear anything.

Nothing in red nothing with yellow ! so im at a loss

O and i hooked up another set of speakers just to rule that out

Did you remember to disable the OB sound when you added another expansion card?

Yes i did it does the same thing with it disabled or enabled. I may try picking up a new sound card maybe the one im using just isnt compatible for some reason.

are your speakers amplified?

If you> right click on the volume control icon in the task bar> properties>device and what is it listing?

Well right now im using the on board sound just because i can actually hear it even though it has static like crazy. But all the volume bars and what not are at full.

are your speakers amplified/powered though?

that could be why the audio is low using the add on card. As for the buzzing, I’d make sure that all of your drivers are up to date.

EDIT: also, try moving the speakers and wheel further apart. If the speakers aren’t shielded it could be some kind interference problem

Through my friend, through.

GL

?

through not threw…nevermind.

Good luck fixing you sound issue. Obviously I have nothing important to post.

waka waka, sorry had to!

Ok if you unplug your G25 wheel, do the speakers work normally?

What is the soundcard? What is your OS? What is your Power supply wattage?

zing!

It will be screwed up as soon as the wheel gets recognized by the computer and stay screwed up. The sound card i was trying to use is a sound blaster 5.1 i think if not the lower one i dont even remember anymore.

And using XP Home edition

Power supply is 450 i think.

Drivers are all up to date things just dont want to work together.

And andy ur a dipshit i make threads about things im actually trying to do and not just talking out of my ass… go clean ur car.

have you tried moving the sound card to a different PCI slot.

Sorry looked over this speakers have a power cord to be plugged in so there not just drawing power from the comp.

To be honest im not sure if i have another one ill have to give that a shot though… actually yes i do just the add on usb is in the way ill have to try that quick

Tried another slot same thing can just barely hear something when at full volume.
