i heard its got 577whp thru a 9inch rear with big gears and 5500 stall. thats not too bad
no you have to take the pistons out:wackit: i can make my car sound like that. i’ll pull two plug wires off!!!
not at all. The blue road runner we did has over 800 on the motor but cant dyno for shit cause of the stall and big tires. He was somwhere around 550ish at the wheels.
yeah it sucks you cant get the whole story on the dyno. you’d have to force lockup on them if your converter is designed to lock up.
et >dyno#
mph = poooooooooooooooooooooooooop
engine dyno numbers = size of penis
that guy must be hung like a horse then :naughty:
me… not so much
dyno tune > street tune
not really
“datalogging with air/fuel wideband monitoring on the dyno” tuning > datalogging with no wideband monitoring street tuning
answer me how do you tune for VE on a dyno
i dont see a problem with it… the dyno puts the car underload as does the street. but agian there are many types of dynos
you can get ur BLM’s and data from a scan to see how lean/rich u are and make adjustments from there. you should beable to get how lean or rich you are as a percentage.
Go to your VE tables and increase or decrease by the percentage.
that should do it. ofcourse its best to test on the street afterwards
now i’m very new to tuning and dont know what the ls1 software looks like or how they opperate. i just been lookin into my 89 MAF system stuff
Sounds like a bunch of popcorn going off. Def nice though!!
you still didnt answer me, how do you tune for VE especially at low rpms in different gears?
tune on street for daily use and WOT, tune on dyno to really dial in what 1 or 2* of timing does in power
i tune on street using many factors, first i scan the ride, replay the scan see if i like it or not. dpending on situation im either loading a new tune or going to tweak the current one. then go out and try to hit as many cells as possilbe for about 15 minute ride pull over and replay. take every reading into account. make adjustments.
dyno is for fine tuning in my eyes. street is all around tuning. a dyno cant put you in every situation you see on the street
ahhh you have me there. low rpms and gears would be hard to do on the dyno. you’d almost have to street tune to get it running ok and then hit the dyno to fine tune. then keep playing with low end drivability
exactly, i knew i would get you
you can peg you knock meter in 6th gear at 1500 rpms at 25mph with 100% throttle but wide open in 4th will result in 0 KR*
or you can see 2 KR* at 4200 rpms with only .48g/cl but that might not be a spot you use often but might want to address it. but to get that detailed you would need to street tune
Does jargan make you sound smart?
you’ll never duplicate the street with a dyno.
