same here I’ve always liked canon, but it seems like they stripped some functionality of some cameras to make the more higher end more appealing 
I like my SD 100 with all the bells and whistles… 3.1mp sucks though
That’s a good deal. I ended up getting my D40 for $512 shipped, with a 1GB SD card, monopod, cleaning kit, camera bag and lcd protector. Then PayPal gave me $50 cash back two weeks later with this promotion they were doing, for a total of $462. I thought this was a great deal compared to what I had seen after looking for several weeks so that amazon deal seems like a steal.
You may want to read through this before buying!!!
