Good place for dinner at Niagara Falls?

Looking at take my girlfriend that has never been to Niagara Falls for a nice meal after we do some sight seeing. Most of my trips in my teenage years involved Boston Pizza, Rain Forest Cafe or Hard Rock. Looking for something nicer and a view would be even better.
My frugal nature checked groupon and saw they had the skylon tower which I have done and really depends on the weather if the view is decent but that is a cool experience for people that haven’t done it.
Also saw Savory and Sweet which I would appreciate any review since that looked like something she would enjoy (she lived in France for a bit). Website sucks but yelp is strong.

Any other recommendations other than getting a slice of pizza from Derek on GI and eating it while hanging over the railing? Not opposed to dropping coin on a memorable meal.
I have heard the Keg has a good view and decent steaks. I just saw “Windows” in the sheraton.

Not much of a view but a fine, albeit expensive meal, can be had at the Western Door Steakhouse in the Seneca Niagara Casino.

The Western Door only works if you can get one of those private little rooms off to the side and don’t have to bothered with the rest of the patrons. Unless you’re looking to drop $250 for a steak and some of the best ‘people watching’ around.

The keg has good food and good view. Forget what hotel its in. The copa cabana braxillian steak house is great but no view.

When I was a kid my parents and my brother went to the Keg in Toronto. The manager let my brother and I go back into the kitchen and make our own Sundaes…That’s all I have to add to the thread. Sorry

Schimshaks in Sanborn has always been good and has an amazing view in the summer all the way to Toronto skyline. Not sure about the winter view tho

The Keg isn’t bad but as stated there is no view.

The Niagara Fallsview Casino buffet has a decent view of the falls IIRC.

If a falls view is not super crucial I recommend Carmelo’s in Lewiston. It’s a short drive from the falls and it’s probably the best place in Niagara County.

Just ate at the Keg two weeks ago and you can get a great view but you have to request a table with a view. We didn’t really care about the view since our hotel room already offered an awesome view. We were both really happy with our meals though.

edit- It’s inside the Embassy Suites hotel

Keg sells themselves as a great view?

I will take a look at Carmelo’s. Usually find your recommendations to be spot on, but leaning towards something around the falls.

There are 2 Kegs in the tourist district, one has a great view in the embassy suites and there other is on ferry st and does not have a view.

Keg is a pretty reasonable cdn steakhouse. they’re in every city and you get a predictably above average dinner there.

the casino has a couple great restaurants in it. not sure about the views though.

In St Catherines. Not close to the falls but cheap and great food. Have the price fixe too which is a good price of like $25 bucks.

you could try niagara on the lake too… some good things there.

+1 to this. The view from the Embassy Suites Keg is one of the best of the falls and their food is very good (make sure to reserve a window table if you really want to see the falls). If you want do to a Brazilian steak house though several people have told me Brasa is better than Copa, but I’ve only ever been to Brasa.

Its very possible, I have only been to Copa and it was VERY good so I cannot speak to Brasa with authority, but my assumption with high tourist areas is that most places have to be pretty good to be in business for long.

If you’re looking to make it an overnight thing I recommend staying at the Sterling Inn and having dinner at their restaurant AG, it’s a nice boutique hotel a little bit off the top of Clifton Hill. No view but a really nice place nonetheless.

If you’re looking for a view, skip the Falls for dinner and eat at the CN Tower in Toronto

Bring binoculars because the falls are very far away!

lol on a clear day / night you can see Niagara Falls Canada… the city that is not the actual waterfall.
