My girlfriend and I are looking for a nice restaurant in Canada for dinner around Christmas. Any suggestions?
Preferably somewhere with a good wine menu, and definitely someplace “fancy”

the cn tower is awsome, its a little expensive but it is definitley a good expirience
where in canada?
The Keg, although a chain, is pretty upscale and is really good. The one in the Embassy Suites in Niagara Falls has a great view of the falls. Decent wine list, but nothing crazy.
Rainforest Cafe. That is good enough for me.
I love that place.
If you plan on going to Toronto, I know quite a few good places. NF, I’m not so familiar with.
honestly I’d be surprised if there is much good in the Clifton Hill/Niagara Falls area that isnt in a hotel or casino.
Unfortunately for as much as I’m up in Toronto, I haven’t been to that many upscale restaurants there. I usually end up spending too much money on fancy hotel rooms, booze, and shopping to want to be going to any really upscale restaurants too.
A lot of people go to the Hardrock Cafe, never been there but a thought…
dont do that!
its fucking terrible. imagine a poorly managed fridays with rock paraphernalia on the wall. it sucks.
i took an ex of mine to CN tower and it was awesome. we took a limo and got dressed up like it was prom or something. i totally got laid that night lol. and we were making out like crazy the whole ride home, and the limo driver couldnt take it and put the window up lol.
We were looking at either Niagara on the Lake or Niagara Falls. Toronto could be a possibility, but the other two locations are the ones we had in mind.
hooters… and its right by the casino too
CN Tower ftw.
i always wanted to go there
toronto > niagara on the lake > niagara falls
but niagara on the lake probably isnt so hot now that its winter time. cant lose with toronto.
If you do the falls there is a place in the skylon tower.
anyone have any suggestions for toronto then
we are looking for a more upscale place like the chop house or salvators, but in toronto
I hate that place with the fire of a thousand suns… TGIFridays is better
ahh fuck, i went to this REALLY nice restaurant in toronto. best service ive ever gotten. food was amazing. great drinks. really nice place. and it was cheap(relative to other nice restaurants).
if only i could remember the name damnit
this will piss me off all day
Yeah me too.
We stayed at the sheraton centre hotel in toronto this past year.
There are 3 excellent restaurants within WALKING distance of the hotel.
We ate at one little italian restaurant, the place was really nicely decorated with a red and black martini theme. Nice dim lighting. Real nice place. Excellent italian. It was under 15 bucks a dish.
There was another seafood joint right across the street from the side of the hotel, again very tasty.
We were going to go to the keg, it looked really nice, but it was really expensive (45 bucks a plate or so).
Just get a room on priceline in toronto, you can walk to a ton of realy good restaurants.
For a casual lunch, there are several irish pubs that serve really good bar sandwiches and stuff.
Don’t bother with niagara falls, on. We went there last year, and went to that rainforest cafe place. Wicked overpriced, and the food was really sub par. Tons of screaming kids everywhere. You pay for the rainforest decorations when you go there.
Same deal with all those restaurants on clifton hill, they are all shit and way overpriced.
If you get a room on priceline, you can stay in toronto for like 50 bucks a night at a real nice 3-4 star hotel. If you read up on tripadvisor, you can park your car at one of the city owned lots for less than half the price of the hotel lot. When we stayed at sheraton center, the city lot is directly across the street from the hotel valet lot.
ViBo on bloor ave in TO
i hear the tim hortins in canada are lovley this time of year
