I am going to a Growler party on Friday and would like to bring a beer that nobody else will have. Any suggestions other than consumers?
Becker Farms http://www.beckerfarms.com/
Flying Bison http://www.flyingbisonbrewing.com
Wegmans has a lot of international beers
Ya but they don’t fill growlers
village beer merchant on elmwood by the elmwood lounge.
Consumers has a list of what’s on tap at all of their locations on their website, they change all of the time
god I love growlers
Becker Farms has a deal with Flying Bison. They buy, re-label and sell it as there own.
Consumer’s is honestly the best place to go.
I have a lot of beers that are too young to let others try yet, or I would offer one of those. I do have some Apfelwein nearly matured and quite drinkable http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f25/man-i-love-apfelwein-14860/
Buffalo Tap Room
Does Pearl Street fill growlers?
But really though, Consumers has different beers on tap at each of their stores. Just check their website and find a store with something different.

Awesome! I’m actually brewing my first Apfelwein this week.
yep. I just ignored the growler part bc I didn’t know what it meant. even still, a funnel goes a long way
If you want a bottle or a few to try I would be more that happy to oblige.
:ham:

Make the drive and fill up on their Scotch ale. Win
dude rohrbachs scotch ale is the shit!
i used to have my friend who commuted from the burg to RIT go and get me growlers of it all of the time from beers of the world. im pretty sure you just pay a $5 deposit on your first growler, then with every new growler they give you a new sanitized one.
magic hat brewery is the same way, all growlers of all of the beer they make is $7.50 with the inital $5 deposit, then they give you a sanitized growler and take the old one back, but you have to drive to south burlington VT
Whenever I visit my sis in Roch I drink the shit out of it. So fucking good.
jesse, take a look here and pick something- http://www.consumersbeverages.com/whatsontap/index.html
god, this thread is making me thirsty. the saranac lemonade lager they have on tap in OP is actually really good for a hot summer night, the GF loves it
Village Beer Merchant has Flying Dog Raging Bitch on tap…I’d say that’d be a pretty unique beer to bring to a party. It’s a belgian-style IPA
Village Beer Merchant between W.utica and lexington.
try the 120 dogfish head IPA
Lol. At $10 for a 12oz bottle I can only imagine what a growler fill is. Even the 90 minute is around $10 for a 4-pack
and that raging bitch is outstanding
A guy at work commutes from Rochester…
He is always talking about the scotch ale
Has it ever been on tap locally?
EBC, you can get a jug or a growler
