yeah, just wanted to give people a heads up since a lot of people aren’t as into consumer electronics as others. The new one is worth the extra 20-30 bucks for sure.
helmet cams on amazon are only 235$ , this one just looks like the naked camera. although i might be wrong
The motorsports version comes with a whole bunch of stuff, $240 is the new msrp on the gopro site for the original hero packages. The 960 is down to $150 too. Part of me says that the 960 is a great value and is everything I will ever need…but then the hero2 seems so much better and is sucking me in.
I ordered a hero2 because of the supposed low light capabilities.

Everything that I have seen says the new one if fully compatible with all original accessories.
I’m still waiting for mine toarrive, but yeah, they are the same form factor. I don’t think you can buy the naked hero2 for this reason… because hardly anyone would buy the “bundles” which is probably a huge profit margin vs the naked camera.
