exactly… thats a NEW gt, those GT’s have a lot more hp than that old 5.0s even 4.6s both just a bit over 200 hp. New GT’s can be compared with older cobra’s and mach 1’s as far as quickness is concerned, the old GT’s are in their own class below tho.

and stock lx goin low 13s i highly doubt…those cars really need exhaust and gears to run low 13s. i can see higher 13s stock.
go on the stang sites. pure stock in his 86 GT went 13.7 thats on street tires and having the silcener in place. along with 273s
dude out in cali with a 87 notch went 13.4X then did minor bolt ons and went 13.1. dude leaves of limiter on QTPs
yeah u told me of pro stock …13.7 is impressive as hell but not low 13s.
and doing 13.4’s in a stock lx is the fastest i ever hear of a 5.0 goin. thats unbelieviable quick…but thats HIGHLY outside the normal times for those years stangs… one freak/great driver doesnt mean that all will go that fast… but still alot underestimate those cars… i know i did and still do at times.! lol:)
not unheard of… a stock budget notch weighs in around 3100 or less with driver. yes that is less then what the books quote, get stickies and a hard launch in cool air with track prep and youll see it
i went 13.5 with K&N, no cats and flows with a 154k miles on the clock. and please dont tell me that a K&N and flows are helping me that much and if you think they help how about a 154k motor that had over heating issues? you can type to you get carpel tunnl i dont care i seen it with my own eyes. that car is a dog has no power but being a light car and me weighing in around 145 back then helped got it where it did.
now before you say or someone says i had no belt that was for the 13.38 slip but its still a stock car with a set of flows, K&N and no cats. same as a SLP SS

everyone seems to underestimate flows… i switched from a 80 series to a chambered tube with alot more flow…atleast so it looked (completely straight thru design) and i only ran about .5 mph quicker with no gain in ET…granted it was hotter out… not to much of a gain tho
stock exhaust on 80s cars seem to be very restrictive… and so is stock intakes. i bet those mods helped u alot more than u would think. i know it helped my l98 car and it only ran high 13s. thats pretty darn quick for a full weight 89 camaro L98 tpi car from what i’m seeing. it just sucks the camaro is 400lbs heavier.
i’d love to get my car down to 3200lbs with me in it

haha the suicide dash… it might seem like a downfall to the car… a feature you may not like
but if you crash, its better for the dash to help kill you…cuz how are u goin to go on in life after seein that Irocz all smashed up?? i know i couldnt. if it dies, i die, thats how we roll. LOL:)
