Got a few things done after pulling this ol’ girl out of hibernation.
Got the new hood on and painted. (US Body Ram Air 2), got rid of my
rusty ol tailpipe tips in exchange for some nice new polished stainless Magnaflows coming out the sides.
Next mod later this summer, new posi and 3.73 gears. Also toying with the idea of lowering it a few inches…

Looks nice! Not a fan of Pontiac hoods on non-Pontiac cars, but that looks slick.
I’ll be honest: I hate the hood and the tips don’t look exactly right coming out at a 90 like that. But hey, that’s just my $0.02 and it’s not my car.
That being said I’m sort of an under-cover fan of big ole B-bodies. Drop it and go with longer LCAs to center up the rear wheels in the wheel-wells and it’ll look a ton better. Nice ride keep it up.

Mods look good! Trip for the hood was really worth it!
nice car, but the hood doesn’t look right on it. drop it a few inches, and it will look better. it kind of looks like a mix between a grand am and a caprice with the hood/wheels. overall, very nice though.
i do not like it. the hood doesn’t flow well, chrome stripping looks tacky and the wheels are out of place on the car.
Now thats some constructive criticism there!

Ride height: I definitely think I’m going to lower it a bit this summer. But how much? The springs I had in mind should give me around 1.5" - 1.75" of drop… I agree with everyone else, the ride height is killin’ me. :mad:
Relocating rear wheels: Ever since I got the car I’ve wanted to do this, need longer LCA’s (which I need to upgrade from stock anyway) and a longer driveshaft.
Trim: Certainly doable on the cheap. I decided to keep the trim because everyone else seems to be getting rid of it. But so many people tell me to delete it (even off the forums). Guess I can load it up in photochop and see what it looks like.

Hood: The scoops are functional and plumb into an airbox. That said, I love this hood. I saw one on an SS at the GM Nationals in Carlisle last year and just had to have one…
I’m not 100% sure I like the hood, Mike. I think we should try it on my car so I can further evaluate it.
Seriously, though, imagine your car with 4 Eibachs, blacked out. <badass>. I’d even go so far as to black out the chrome trim around the tops of the doors with the 3M tape <I’ll go halfsie on a couple of rolls with you>. Black door handles, too <I’ve got 4, but they ain’t for sale…lol>.
I DO like the exhaust tips, but as you told me, it pops. Maybe an X or H-pipe.

I would get rid of as much of the trim as possible. Get a different set of wheels and call it a day
