Theres alot of jobs on this website that are kinda shams. Work at home jobs that require you to spend a shit load of money for something that never works. Makes me question the legitimacy of certain job postings, such as these:
Now, i know there are government jobs available, but can somebody explain the process in which you can apply to them? I called the one number and they require you to spend $80 before they even send shit out to you. I just wanted to see if anybodys done this kind of thing before and if it works. I told them Id call back, just because in the back of my mind, I question everything.
Advice and/or experience with this type of thing? Thanks.
Its BS… you have to go through a .gov website and jump through hoops to apply for most gov gobs. (FAA, Civilian contractor for the Mil, postal…ect) I’ve applied for a few legit gov jobs. They were all a pain in the ass.
The ad your getting is probably just $80 for instructions on how to do it. Like the scam for the ‘list of police auctions’ BS or shit like that. Anybody can find out the info, you just need to dig around for it.
There are jobs that are for government agencies that are not on the corresponding agency websites but those are contract jobs for that particular department. Normally you already need the credentials and security clearance for the contract positions.
… USAjobs is the catchall for Fed jobs. Most, if not all state jobs are never listed on that site. You need to check each state website for the state listings.
