Yeah I agree on that, I had NOTHING ALLL DAY except a Sierra Mist until we went to Friday’s :idiots
Yeah I noticed when I ran one race with their group it was so much better because room was given and people weren’t cutting down everywhere.

I’m Bryan and I’ll be the first to say I had no clue what I was doing =P
Though yes, we did have a few guys that knew what they were doing.
I agree… Something as simple as a poor seating adjustment will throw you off more than you think. Moving yourself 2-3 inches fore or aft affects the kart handling a lot by altering the weight dist. Not to mention fatigue, etc. Seat positioning is a big factor in how the kart handles…
Speaking of fatigue, point well taken about not getting to eat… I really did not think they would throw us into four races with 12 minutes in between so I thought there’d by time to eat in between. So in hindsight, we should have stopped beforehand.
Next time we know…
Not to give people more excuses, but I see other factors involved, as opposed to poor karts- I think the karts were in pretty damn good shape. I hope they keep them that way.
Also, I hope they keep the surface nice… I know for a fact that at Velocity 17 the grip level has deteriorated pretty badly and it’s only been open over a year?
I definately agree on the seat position/ pedal position…One race my seat came loose and slid back and wouldn’t stay up, I had a hard time keeping it floored!..Horrible lap times that race. The race I was cutting the mid-high 31’s I barely used the brakes at all, had the seat all the way up, pedals real close as well.
Brakes? I use the brakes once and its for a split second.
Fastest lap time for me on the downtown was the final race 32.099
Was just getting into a groove chasing Clark back down when Lew/Jammer/Clark/Myself all wadded up out of turn one, causing gridlock for a couple seconds. Switched up the order there between the four of us.
Was then chasing Jammer down along the straight headed into T1 tight apex and the marshals cut my motor right as I was turning in(2nd B-flag offense for “pushing” that chic out of my way). Kart made a B-line right to the inside wall at 3/4 throttle, tossing me right into the oncoming path of Clark who nailed me head on at near full throttle. We hit so hard Jesse cased on the steering wheel into his chest and side while I was nearly tossed out of the seat and into the tire barrier.
That race was the absolute best of the day for me.

Future reference on going somewhere as a group. for example when me and chris left fridays, i was gunna follow krammer, got stuck at a light, then waited for vlad or archie, followed archie for ~2 miles on 87S only to find out hes going to NYC. Me and chris ended up going a total of 11 miles out of our way. we need to stick together, and not do 90 the whole way so someone cant catch up, unless your like krammer and go 65 the WHOLE way to save gas. :
How about everyone bring their own directions/gps so if you do get separated it doesn’t matter I think we’re all big boys here and don’t need mommy hand to lead the way :ninja :hug
:rofl Me, Johawk, Swift, and Kramer all left at the same time, Swift took off on that bridge…Johawk, myself, and Kramer stopped to get gas at the first rest area. Then I have NO idea where everyone went after that, I took off doing like 90-95(average) after getting gas. I’d say we got home in about an hour or a little more. ;D
Your guys’ shortcut must’ve cut A LOT of time off! Could’ve told us ahead of time!
+1
It’s pretty hard to give directions to all so this is a good suggestion…
Jeff, I did get it across to a few people that I was heading South not North so not to follow me but when I got into my car after Friday’s you were already gone so I could not inform you. Also I assumed you would follow the two cars in between us (Accord, Exploder) but somehow you followed me to 87S… Well, we’ll do what we can in hindsight to improve things for future events.
Thanks to all for showing up and really making this a great event.
Well when we were leaving the parking lot Vlad or someone told me that everyone was going to follow me down but nooooooooooooooooooooooo,…you all had to pass me when I pulled over to get off the exit and well, we arrived ~20 minutes before you guys ;D I cut down onto the Taconic about halfway via some back roads instead of going all the way down then back over.
not blaming you at all, i just got im my car, cause every one was jumping in there car and leaving, i was waiting for wayne to go… but i waited to long i guess, and reversed it and left. by that time joey/krammer were 15seconds long gone
I have gotten there in 100 min with Jeff before, and not driving that fast down there.
We took a different route from what we took today.
LOL What? It’s not his reponsibility to print you all directions. :rofl Maybe you guys shouldnt pass the lead vehicle if you dont know where it’s going.
it was leaving fridays that was the problem, anyways im def going out and getting a tomtom or somthing next week :banana
Vlad yelled that we were going back to GPNY cuz he left something there. Archie said to just about everyone that he was going south.
I had a great time, even though I was slow as phuck. We’ll blame it on the 100lb weight ballast known as my stomach.
True. Looking bac now there a couple roads I could easily duck another hours off without question. Big ol FBI truck don’t like twisties and fast on/off ramps too much ;D “Yup, we’re sliding folks!”
Oh man my GTP knows all about being a boat in the twisties…Handles like a freight train! Along with blowing the tires off getting on sharp on ramps ;D :ssh
Blame that one on Vlad.
Yeah, scared a few vehicles heading home today. My ams were like spaghetti and couple that with GMC’s fantastically responsive truck steering and you’ve got a swervy 6000lb rig drifting between lanes
