The photographer (Jim Davis) is one of my long time friends back in Vermont. He has done a couple shoots for stancenation and other big names. Check out some of the other shoots on his flicker account.
I’m with Krant, the original '67 GT500 was so smooth, Shelby really nailed the styling. The '68 became the basis for the current Shelby GT500s.
The Unique Performance cars are hit-or-miss in quality. Early cars were well built, then the orders flooded in and the quality leeched out. I think one guy said he found 7 lbs. of filler in one.
The pics are awesome and it’s still a bitchin’ car. It’d just be cooler as a real Shelby
If I remember correctly the guy who owns the car did all/most of the work himself, from extra parts (hood, exhaust tips and wheels) from the movie Gone in 60 Seconds. I don’t think the car is a unique performance car.
he in fact did do all the work, including body work (with the exception of paint). Regardless of whether or not you like the style of the car, his attention to detail and commitment to original and accurate parts is second to none.
