As requested by some customers here is a pretty straight forward method to mount the seats and brackets you purchased.
This guide is for Larger base seats like the RSS/SRD and E2 seat we carry. The GS (low max) is bolt on with these brackets if you do not use sliders, if you use sliders this guide will be needed to install your seats.
Time needed 30mins - 1 Hour
Things you need
Drill
1/4 Drill bit
8 pieces m6x1.00 20 hex bolt or allen key/hex key bolt (I used Allen key bolts)
8 pieces m6x1.00 nuts
Allen keys or socket/wrench(if you use regular hex bolts)
Small screw driver for marking/scoring the brackets
Optional step
I removed the 4 spacers that came with the seat below, they sat between the sliders and seat (check out the for sale thread for side views with the spacers on)
Step 1
Bolt the base bracket into the car and put your seat onto the base bracket for positioning (I forgot to take a pic of this step but pretty straight forward stuff) now with the seat positioned use the sliders on the seat as a straight guide draw (or scratch the paint) a straight line onto the base bracket like the picture below indicated in green.
Step 2
Remove both from car
Step 3
Slide the sliders all the way back to expose the back/top 2 holes like the picture below.
Step 4
Line up the line you drew in step 1, now roughly line up the front of the base bracket edge to the front edge of the slider. (Please ignore the already drilled hole, had to retrace a step after drilling)
Step 5
With everything lined up from step 4
- Draw a line down middle of slider to base bracket.
- Draw a line from the existing hole on base bracket towards new hole location
- Move the base bracket away from seat and Drill where the 2 lines meet
Do this for both Front holes
note: The hole on the seat’s slider is slotted so there is room for some error
Step 6
Using the bolt and nut, bolt both new holes onto the sliders like so. This step will help you align the 2 back holes
Step 7
With a screwdriver or marker, mark the 2 back hole locations on the base bracket from the other side like so
Step 8
Unbolt the base bracket from the sliders and drill the 2 newly marked locations… like so
Step 9
Bolt everything together including seat belt buckle
Step 10
Bolt into car and enjoy
