Mounting the seat on the drivers side is FTwistteding hard. Atleast when im trying to fab teh peices from scratch…Annny help would be greatly appreciated…i also have a small hole to fix on the passenger side where the bolt holding the back of the seat was on the right side of the seat…pulled out that bolt there went a nyce chunk of everything between me and the ground. drivers side was mint but the way the floor buldges out makes it soo hard to put these seats in…i also have short legs so i like to be close to the pedals i dont see a way of these seats really working well as the stock seats are sumhow mounted soo low:S…i need these seats to be on the ground as low as i can get them…help please…desperatly…Gf has no seat for now either she has to go in the back…enough leg room with only the drivers seat.
i have some s13 brackets u can have for cheap if u want to weld some metal on there for some custom brackets. the only way to maintain the sliding and keep it low to the ground is to do it like this:

only other option is to mount them with a custom steel bracket and forget about sliding back and forth. if u try to do it any other way you will find that you’ll be driving with your head out the sunroof (unless you’re a midget or chinese).
if u have money, get bride MO rails which are good for basically any type of bottom mount reclineables. But if you’re running a set of replicas the brackets would prob cost more than your seats.

some advertisers on zilvia have a similiar dea;l if u wanna go through them you could as well. Not sure about getting these locally.
I’m sure lotsa ppl here have come across this problem when attempting to put their reclineable seats in so if you guys got pics or ideas postem up.
Alright…i got my drivers seat mounted which is the harder of the two…i just bought sum 1/4 inch thick flat steel thats about 2" wide…i just cut it up bent the peices to make custom brackets…cant slide to adjust the seat front n back. Oh well i dont need other people driving my car anyways. as for making a bracket that mounts where the driveshaft on the inside of the seat i used a air chisel and cut off wheel to get off the old mounts for the stock seat. i just bolded that on and made a one peice bracket for those two mounts on the inside of the seat closest to the tranny/driveshaft. Hopefully this is helpful but the tools i used are pretty simple…other than a welder i had to use. the mounts for my seats were like 16" apart on the stock seat its like 18 or 19" so i had to do sum serious thinking. One thing i did notice is that my seat is not pefectly alligned…its a FATT seat and barley fits in there. its pushed pretty tight against my centerconsole but its a inch and a half too close to the door still…id just sudject getting good seats and seat brackets for that seat that are for the 240…save urself a lot of trouble lol. Passenger side should be as hard as the exhaust doesnt run under that side there for there floor is a lot more even.
