id cut it right behind where the seat bolts to the floor so that the seat bolts hold it down. cut the headliner right about at that point too, a little bit behind your head when sitting. (if you still have a headliner)
i was going to leave the headliner in, i really dont wanna fuck with it because of the moon roof.
but thats what i was thinking with the carpet. right after the front bolts…
It all depends how crazy you want to get. However from what it sounds you aren’t 100% serious about as aesthetics/comfort still seems to be a priority somewhat. So a thin carpet would probably be the best route.

cheap = rustoleum primer and paint
better = POR15 and paint
different = truck bed liners, rhino liner or line-x

However optimally you would want this, again it depends all on how far you want to go.
i know i’ll be driving the car all next summer when i get it done, so there id like a comfortable seat, doesnt need to recline or anything, just dont want it to feel like im sitting on a wooden bench all day. the rest of the interior i just want blacked out. im trying to keep flashy to a minimal.
I cut mine right at the rear seat sill. You can kind of see it in this picture…
And used cheap NAPA carpet to lay on the drivers/pass floor…
And the hid the shitty carpet job with a couple of sweet buckets.
you did a great job on your eclipse. i remember looking in it when i picked up that exhaust a while back.
thanks, you gave me a few good ideas as to what i should do next
