I just got 2 new mufflers and am going to put them on and was wondering if
1.) an h-pipe is worth it?
2.) where to install the h-pipe in the exhaust?
I have a single 2.25" exhaust now and am going to be welding on 2.5" dual pipes.

put the H pipe witin the first foot of straight tubing off the headers. yes its worth it, helps to smooth the powerband out, also gets rid of the raspy sound, and gives it a nice sound
cool, thanks
now if I only had headers.
so the closer to the engine the better?
well its usually about the end of the tranny on stangs. which is about with in a foot or so of the straight pipe. this is with LTs or shorties. so best betfor you is same place at the end of the tranny
thanks again
that is like trying to polish a turd
I got 2 mufflers for $30 including shipping. the original is going bad so I decided to redo it, plus I want to learn how to weld so this will be a start.
whatever it is still a turd
yep, what’s your point.
but it will be a louder turd
its P.O.S.
X>h
X does flow like 1 0r 2 more hp but the sound isnt as good
:bsflag:
X doesnt sound no where near as good as the brupping of a H pipe
my x-pipe > H-pipe :booty:
you dont have X pipe, you got a prochamber
its still a xpipe. you never seen the pipe…
i know what a prochamber looks like and isnt a true X pipe
your NOT correct
sorry, yours isnt a True X pipe its listed as a prochamber. yours is a box not a X
