Hallman vs. other MBC

so im at the final stage of the build on the honda and all i have left to do is plumb in a MBC and put oil/coolant in the car.

Ive been reading up on Hallmans MBCs and have found they are highly acclaimed by basically everybody who runs an MBC.

anybody have anything to say about this?

i run one on my civic. very happy with it

How much is there to fuck up with a manual boost controller?

shitty manufacturers make shitty products.

just not interested in using a shitty product

Get a Hallman. Period. You will be very happy with its quality. By far the best MBC I have ever used.

granger valveā€¦

save money

whats the cracking pressure on the hallmans - anyone know off hand, i havnt been able to find out.

i have hallman as well, i think its the worst or cheapest model they sell. works pefectly, does what its supposed to do so im happy with it

I was very happy with my Hallman-Pro-In car manual. Worked excellent and then I didnt have to keep jumping out when getting the boost dialed in.

has anyone ever run an AEM tru-boost gauge-type controller?

yes, i have one in my neon. ran it in my honda before that. ive had good experiences with that as well.

they are a lil tricky to get used to IMO.

whats tricky about them? you adjust the cracking pressure for spool, and duty cycle % for boost levels. everything else you have to adjust literally once and then leave it.

its easy to switch between preset levels, its easy to check high boost levels and clear them. even the wiring/install is easy.

scramble boost is the only other setting that requires some adjustment.
