Bah, I was once told I didn’t do enough for Black History Month. I said that I don’t single out a month for one group of people. That indicates to my students that they don’t need to care about black history for the rest of the school year.

Instead I try to teach black history along with the rest of American History, showing a true connection with the rest of American History.
